We are proud to present the UEM Environment Sustainability Report 2007 which records our continuous efforts and commitments to create sustainable business practices throughout our business operation. By doing so we intend to improve our performance in terms of the resources we utilize and the impacts of our activities to the environment.
This Sustainability Report 2007, the third in this series, highlights areas of importance to us such as the social, environmental and economic performance of not only for UEM Environment but also our subsidiary companies from 1 January 2007 to 31 December 2007.
The report is designed to give a complete picture of the issues we faced in 2007 and how we managed them. It covers among others, information about our company-wide carbon footprint, stakeholder engagement processes, financial performance for 2007 and general business direction, as well as details about the programmes we have in place to address the issues which pertain to our company and how we continuously improve them.
The provision of third party verification for the Sustainability Report 2007 reflects our transparency and confidence in the reliability of our information and our ongoing efforts to refine the quality and materiality of our reporting. We continue to evaluate these efforts year after year to understand how we can increase the relevance, engagement and effectiveness of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
In the future, UEM Environment remains focused on continued progress both as a business leader and as an environmentally and socially responsible company.
